Commissioned work for ~ihateblogs
Thank you for commissioned me
I manage for draw building
But perspectives are still my ultimate nemesis
I still can't get right. Especially the window on the left. It way too obvious. Hopefully my next work involving perspective of any kind come out better.
For this piece, I went with technique the digital artist use for this one by colouring in the grey shade first then add the colours later. It good for the dark tone/earthly tone image I was aiming for. The bristol board I use work really well with both markers & watercolours. I didn’t get wrinkle much, mostly curl up but put it flat under some books and mags seem to straight it up over night.
The progress work was kinda slow because I have to work 9 hours during the day while working on this. I can only work on this drawing when I came back home around 7pm. So, I spend pretty much about 3-4 hours at the time. On some day I didn’t work on it at all because I as too exhausted and went straight to bed.
All in all I was quite happy how the work turned out (and my client was happy too ^.^ YEAHH!)
Tools: Copic markers, pen, ink and watercolours for background.
